I’m finishing up work on my first ever pattern collection, and hopefully within a couple of days the “Little Holiday Knits” pattern collection will be available through both ravelry and etsy. All of my holiday patterns are included, as well as Theodore the Teddy and Marisol the Mouse (version 2.0).
A customer requested an organic elephant, and I ended up writing down the pattern when I made her.
Finished! Kailani the Mermaid.
I actually managed to get this pattern finished and ready just in time for the holiday knitting season. They’re small, they’re easy, they’re versatile. Three mini dolls - a snowman, a gingerbread man, and an elf - they are just as well suited to be sturdy toys for little hands as they are to be gift-toppers or ornaments. I even had my Christmas tree ready for their photo shoot.

Pattern now available at http://yarnigans.etsy.com and the ravelry shop Rachel Borello Designs.
“Bugs, Bugs, Bugs” pattern: As a mother of a little boy, I often feel guilty at the toy boxes full of girly toys that my son has gotten from my knitting pile. It’s not that the dolls and rabbits in dresses go unappreciated, but I was really starting to feel that I should come up a pattern that is more suitable for the toddler boy scene. I quickly came up with the idea of bugs— not just one bug, but a pattern for the different segments of a bug that can be mixed and matched to make several different little critters. The bugs are knitted on US size 3 double pointed needles in the round on worsted weight wool. I used Cascade 220 wool. Make whatever segments you need to create a caterpillar, ant, bee, butterfly, or a bug of your (or your child’s) creation. I finally put this pattern up for sale today on Ravelry and Etsy. To celebrate, I’m having a giveaway on my Yarnigans Facebook page. The winner will get one each of the butterfly, caterpillar, and bee softies, as well as a copy of the pattern itself. Check out my facebook here to enter the contest.
Finally finished the cupcake pattern and put it up for sale at both ravelry (designer Rachel Borello) and etsy (http://yarnigans.etsy.com). Pics of some of my initial cupcakes:

The next pattern I’m planning on writing up is the sandwich dude, but I might get some crafting done for myself in the meantime.
