The New Yarnigans Blog |
I knit and crochet. I sew and cook. I make all types of goods and I write about it here.
Yarnigans on Facebook |
As usual, I’ve gotten terribly neglectful of the Yarnigans blog. BUT! There has been a lot going on in Yarnigans land, so I’ll try to catch you up.
I’ve put out two new patterns since my last real blog post, and I’m so excited about both of them. The first is Porter the Monkey, and he was a special request from my friend Jennifer, for her little boy’s monkey-themed nursery.
Also, Alistair the Lion, awesome name courtesy of Regina, aka nerdshares.
In other news, I’ve written some patterns for Cooperative Press’s Fresh Designs, a series of books (one is for hats, one is for scarves, I am in the one for toys, etc) that features 10 designs by emerging knitting designers. It’s a really great project and Shannon Okey, owner and operator of Cooperative Press, has put up a kickstarter page to get some working capital for the company. She’s already made her initial goal but of course every company could use more. If you’d like to check out the page, go here.
I’m hoping to get a bunch more patterns up in the coming months as I go into full production mode for the summer and fall show seasons. If you’ve got an idea for something you’d like to see as a Yarnigans pattern, let me know! I’d love to hear about it.
