I knit and crochet. I sew and cook. I make all types of goods and I write about it here.

I know I haven’t put up any Yarnigans updates in a while, and it’s because I haven’t really been doing much Yarnigans work. I have a new baby, plus the 3-year-old to deal with, and it’s been crazy. I did want to share this cute project that the kid and I did yesterday, though—
We have a kids’ coat rack in our kitchen dining area, and it has been great for Jude to be able to hang up his own coat, but there are only 4 pegs on it, and both my kids have multiple coats and hats. I needed something separate to at least put the hats on because they were always ending up on the floor.
I was inspired when I saw a pack of the pinch-style clothespins at Ollie’s. I brought them home and Jude and I painted 7 of them.

We glued them to a fabric-covered piece of scrap wood that we had here at the house and I hung it to the wall above the coat rack. He loves it and this morning he taught his friends how to hang up their own hats!
